Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - D.C. United released midfielder Christian Castillo on Wednesday. The 25-year-old made 10 appearances in MLS play in the 2010 season, starting eight of those matches. The Salvadoran winger registered 691 minutes on the pitch with no goals scored. United acquired Castillo in December from Mexican Second Division side Leon.
